Review of research in the field of music education published in the TR Index database

In this research, the distribution of articles published in the field of music education in the TR Index database between 2018 and 2023 in terms of year, subject scope, method and bibliography was examined. Document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The scope of the research consists of a total of 161 research articles published in the TR Index database. A classification form developed by the researcher was used during the data collection process. Percentage and frequency analysis were performed to analyze the data. When the research results were examined, it was determined that the distribution of the relevant studies varied according to years, the most studied subject area was vocational music education, the most preferred research methods were quantitative research methods, and local sources were preferred more than foreign sources. As a result of the research, new suggestions were presented.
