Abstract (EN)

In the research, it was aimed to determine the attitudes and opinions of prospective teachers studying in the music teacher training programme towards playing the bağlama. In the research process, mixed research method was used in which qualitative and quantitative methods were used together. In this context, combining design was preferred. In the study, 120 music teacher candidates studying in Kastamonu University, Abant İzzet Baysal University and Gazi University departments related to music education and determined by random sampling method participated. As a result of the research, it was determined that the results of the attitude scale of the music teacher candidates were at the level of "agree". In terms of demographic variables, it was determined that the results of the attitude scale showed a significant difference in terms of the variables of graduated high school, duration of playing bağlama, choosing bağlama as the main instrument in high school and university. As a result of the analysis of the qualitative application findings, themes and categories were created and suggestions were made.
