A glance from the perspective of combine arts with documentary animation technique at the intersecting lives of Nâzim Hikmet, Sabahattin Ali, Orhan Veli and Rıfat Ilgaz

The aim of this study is to generate a epitome with documentary animation technique under the umbrella of combine arts, in view of the fact that the current dynamics and trends in the field of information-communication. The scope of the study consist of the four great poets, writers of the history of the Republic, intersecting lives and stories of touching each other in this period. The study was carried out with a focus on the literature and visual-communication arts. Literature searches were carried out, visual materials were collected from different sources and personal archives, face-to-face interviews were realized, and roundtable meetings were held with experts on both technical and core knowledge dimensions. A documentary animation fragment titled "The Time of Poets" has been prepared by using the studies carried out and the visual presentation techniques enabled by today's technology. This fragment, which has docudrama features, did not stick to the conventional approach of documentary, but did not break the connection of people and events with reality. While trying to shed light on a period, the fragment called "The Time of Poets" created with this study was thought to contribute to increasing social awareness and developing the ability to look at the fact from different perspectives. As a result, it has been seen that a transitional approach between different disciplines, especially literature, communication, technology and visual arts, can be interpreted with documentary animation technique, and it can be ensured that the four great poets of the history of the Republic meet with large masses. This situation has been described as an example of the contributions that combine arts can make to social life in different dimensions. And it is foresighted that docudrama can be considered as an effective tool, suitable for current dynamics, in developing social awareness on different subjects.
