An analysis on Necip Fazil Kisakurek's scenario novels

The majority of theses in the field of Turkish Language and Literature are about novel and poetry.The studies about the relationship between cinema which is called seventh art and literature are quite few. However, there is a very strong interaction between the literary art and scenarios which are written dimensions of cinema from the aspect of dialogue,description and the features of using language.In this respect,adaptations made both in film script and in stories and novels carry a literary text value.The literary study of studies on the scenarios will also provide a contribution to the development of the cinema. In the history of Turkish Literature, it is seen that some writers and poets direct the society with their ideas as well as their literary production. Necip Fazıl Kısakürek is one of these writers,too. In the Republican era,along with his literary works,he appears as a thinker who drags the masses behind him with his intellectual struggle.In addition to his works of thoughts,Necip Fazıl is a versatile personality who tries to convey his ideas to the public with his works in the genres of theatre, poetry,story and script.Many academic studies have been done about Necip Fazıl's poems,theatres,stories.But the scenario studies that he called "My Scenario Novels" were in the shade. The author stated that these works he wrote for the cinema which are called "scenario novel" can be read like a novel and at the same time he tried to emphasize in the literary dimension of these works. In our thesis, the thought of Necip Fazıl's about cinema are revealed,the sources of script novels were searched and ten novels one of which is seminal were examined in terms of content and structure.In our study,the specific characteristics of scenario novels of Necip Fazıl were determined.
