Abstract (EN)

When we look at the life of Prophet Muhammad, it can be seen that he communicated with many tribes and religious groups in different ways. Especially in the later periods of his life, this interaction continued to increase. In this thesis, we examine in detail the meeting with the Christians of Najran, which is an important part of Prophet Muhammad's communication with different religious groups and is mentioned as the reason for the revelation of many verses in the Quran. The thesis consists of an introduction and two main sections. In the first part, after briefly explaining the history of the Christians of Najran, the relationship between Prophet Muhammad and the Christians of Najran has been examined in detail from different perspectives. The meeting between the Christians of Najran and Prophet Muhammad can be researched from sociological and psychological perspectives, but it should be noted that we mainly focused on the political aspect in this thesis. In the second part of the thesis, in order to avoid disconnection between periods, the period of Abu Bakr is briefly explained, and then the incident of the exile during the period of Umar, one of the main topics of the thesis, is examined in detail. At the end of the thesis, the different policies applied between these two periods are examined, and an attempt has been made to interpret the reasons for the incident extending from the treaty to the exile. We would like to point out that, instead of constantly comparing the differences between the two periods, we tried to evaluate the two periods objectively within their own context. Afterwards, an attempt has been made to reveal the reasons for these periodical differences. We would like to mention that while carrying out this study, we carefully scanned classical period works, and also benefited from many topics from contemporary researchers.
