Abstract (EN)

Fictional texts bring the world of the author to the reader. The life story that constitutes the infrastructure of this world is sometimes reflected explicitly or implicitly on the piece of art. Traces of the author's autobiography form the narrative by linking the author and fictional text, just like the gear of a wheel. In this context, the autobiographical traces seen in the fictional texts are important clues in understanding the spirit of the author. Nedim Gürsel, who was introduced to the world of literature at a very young age, frequently includes autobiographical elements in his fiction texts such as stories and novels. The aim of this study is to determine the autobiographical elements in stories and novels of Nedim Gürsel, one of the authors of Turkish Literature in the Republican Era. For this purpose, all the stories and novels of Nedim Gürsel published as a book were examined; in addition to the works he wrote; books, magazines, newspapers, interviews and academic studies were also utilized. While analysing the novels and stories, chronological order was taken into consideration and the works were analysed on the basis of person, time and place. In the works of Nedim Gürsel, the connection between the novel-story-autobiography triangle was determined based on the events taking place in his social life.
