Özet (EN)

It is known that infectious or metabolic diseases breathe out certain odors. The gaseschanged by diseases in human breath are determined by analysing the breath samples by usinggas chromatographic (GC) techniques. Although GC-MS techniques enable disease signals tobe studied expansively, they are not used for diagnosis of diseases because they require highercost, necessity of competent staff, laboratory environment and are long-term.Recently, since electronics noses are produced by sampling gas sensor arrays andnose systems of mammals, diagnosis of disease from human breath has been made in clinicalapplications. It is known that acetone concentration in breath of diabetic patients is 0.1-10ppm. However, QCM sensors are sensitive to over 50 ppm. Hence, the condenser whichcontains zeolit is being used to have acetone concentration sensed by QCM sensors.Consequently, for diagnosing of diabetes, the system which consists of QCM sensor andzeolit condenser was designed. This work, with title ?Developing Identification System For Medical Applications ByUsing Qcm-Ssc Gas Sensor Array? is realised under the project number 104E053 supported byTUBITAK.Keywords: QCM Sensor, Electronics Nose, Diabetes, Diagnosis System
