Attributive adjective elements in Nehcu'l-Feradis

ABSTRACTIt will be helpful to find out a language's historical development and aspects byexamining that language's historical passages-works.Our aim in this study, prepared as ahigher education thesis, is to enable to put forward the characteristics of a language,used in a Turkish work that were written in 14th century.The followings are the nine different participle (attributive adjective) suffixes tobe seen in Nechul Feradis : " -gan, -gen; -mış, -miş, -muş, -müş; -ar, -er, -ur, -ür; -maz, -mez; -duk, -dük; -gu, -gü; -guçı, -güçi; -gunçı, -günçi; -daçı, -deçi" Of all "-ar, -er and -mış, -miş" are the most common used ones.Only one usage of -duk, -dük suffix; the similar usage of ?-ıçı? suffix to that ofWest Turkic; ablative suffixes serving as accusative suffixes in a sentence; insufficientusage of participle elements with negative forms are important in terms of languagefeatures.In consequence of this study, it has been aimed at having the knowledge aboutusage of participles of that period.
