Abstract (EN)

This thesis addresses the right to the city, revealing an urgent need to expand the scope of the right to the city in terms of time and temporality in the neoliberal era. In this context, the thesis clarified neoliberalism and the current situation of cities, which have changed all their paradigms in terms of social, economic, political, and social aspects on a global scale, and then examined the right to the city, time, and temporality by making use of the literature in this context. Afterward, the right to the city and time poverty, which are conveyed through women who experience both spatial and temporal disadvantages in neoliberal cities, are conveyed through women, and the urban experience of women is given within the scope of the right to the city and time pressure conditions by making use of the literature. In this context, as a case study, she investigated femininity and the urban experience of femininity in terms of time in the context of the city of İstanbul, which can be regarded as the dominant city in Turkey where neoliberal influences appear directly. In the conclusion part, the findings are presented based on the case study. Based on the findings of the case study, the right to the city in terms of the experience of womanhood and the urban experience of womanhood, and then the boundaries of the right to the city on a larger scale were opened for discussion.
