Abstract (EN)

Nermin Akkan does not categorize herself in the modern age, where the determinative nature of periods, literary communities, and generations of poetry gradually diminishes. Methodically, we can approach her work by comparing it with the characteristic features of the 1980 Generation through a hypothetical/relative comparison. Although her name is rarely encountered in classical poetry anthologies, she is a poet, a special education teacher, and a reflexologist. Until the time the 1980 generation emerged, she continued to write poetry in her own world with her improvisational talent and penmanship. Her first poetry book is "Hece Mavisi" Following this, she published poetry books titled "Ayrıksı Çiçekler", "Kimsesiz Şiirler" and "Sabahın Mısmıl Yüzü" as well as a short story book named "Yayla Rüzgârı" and a biography/memoir titled "Cerensiz Olmaz" In addition to her published works, she has prepared for publication poetry works titled "Çise", "Çığ" "Çıra" and "Donuk" as well as a short story titled "Çarık" and an essay titled "Çorak" It is also necessary to note that there are lost manuscripts of unknown fate. This study has established that Akkan possesses a multifaceted personality as a writer, poet, teacher, reflexologist, and activist, based on documented evidence. With this determination, Nermin Akkan's true value in Turkish poetry of the Republican Era has been assessed along with her contributions, providing a reference for future studies.
