Abstract (EN)
Thanks to Internet of Things (IoT), it's become possible to collect, process and transmit data with different sensors in marine-applications and to create underwater-wireless-sensor networks. IoT devices such as Arduino Uno R3, Mega 2560 R3, Yun&Due; as well as the sensors, in measuring sea-water temperature, air temperature, atmospheric pressure, air humidity, distance for sea-level fluctuations, using wired and wireless technologies in communication, are discussed. The key components used in building the platform for our IoT remote maritime monitoring investigations are development boards that feature the best entry-level microcontrollers and embedded systems. Once more, simple, low-cost, low-power modular sensors that are readily available on the market are used. Sensors in the form of modular boards with microcontrollers, software development environments that are compatible with these boards, power supplies to run the boards, breadboards for prototyping, energy boards, and devices for wireless data transfer are also used. Various IoT prototypes were created utilizing real, current technology and equipment to measure the time-variations in air and water temperatures, humidity, atmospheric pressure, and water level on a periodic basis, in seconds. The collected data sets underwent statistical analysis and quality inspection. Finally, it is discussed how to effectively deploy the underwater IoTs so that they will be safer while being remotely monitored and capable of sending alerts in the event of an emergency.
