Haris the uncle ofprophet opened the zamzam well with his father, Abdulmuttalib. Nevhelthe son of haris became a muslim many years later after the emergence of Islam. Nevhel the son of Haris wasa gun trader. He was captured in Bedir War and gave one thousand spears as ransom. He fought against enemies with Muslims in Humeyn War and donated 3 spears to Islamic Army. The siblings of Nevhel the son of Haris are Rebai, Ebusufyan, Abdullah, Umeyye, Erva, Muğire and Abdushems. The feud of Rebai the son of Haris was abolished by Prophet in his last khutbah. Another sibling of Nevhel Ebu Sufyan the son of Haris fought against Islam for many years and after he had become a muslim, he became a believing man. The children of him are Haris, Abdullah, Abdurrahman, Rebia, Said, Muğire, Ubeydullah, Ummu said, Ummu Mugire and Ummu Hâkim. Muğire the son of Nevhel was a muslim judge in Osman period and Abdullah the son of Nevhel was a muslim judge in Mervan the son of Hâkim period. Anıther son, Haris the son of Nevhel had some important missions such as ameer and zakat collector. In essence, we can see that relatives of Prophet made significiant contributions to administration, military and social parts of Islamic community.
