Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, policies resulting from urbanization, industrialization and increasing human activities cause water pollution. Although the need for water increases with the increasing world population, the recycling of wastewater has gained great importance and it has become necessary to treat and reuse wastewater quickly and safely. Domestic and industrial wastewater are the leading factors in the pollution of water resources with different areas of use. Membrane technologies that perform well in industrial wastewater treatment are also effective treatment methods for the reuse of wastewater. The aim of this study is that investigate the treatment of plastic industry wastewater with the method of nanofiltration. Commercial NF90 membrane has been studied. Wastewater from the plastic industry was studied at two different temperatures (25oC and 30oC) and 3 different pressures (4.6 and 8 bar). Suspended solids, color removal, turbidity efficiency and conductivity values of these parameters were examined. The results were interpreted by calculating the flux values with the samples taken at 5, 15, 30 and 45. minutes by examining the results, ideal working conditions for plastic industry wastewater treatment were suggested. As a result of the experiments with plastic wastewater, the operating condition in which the highest flux value was recorded was determined as 25oC and 8 bar with a flux of 35.2 (L/m2h). When the color removal efficiency was examined, in the analysis made at 25oC, the efficiency was 100% starting from the 5th minute at 4 bar pressure. It was observed that at 6 and 8 bars, the color removal efficiency was 100% from the beginning. Suspended solids removal efficiency was 100% even at the beginning. The most suitable operating conditions for turbidity removal efficiency were determined as 30oC and 8 bar. Finally, in the conductivity analysis, the most efficient operating condition was determined to be 30oC and 8 bar, with a value of 20.2 (μs/cm).
