Ni̇le Ri̇ver and i̇t's i̇mpact on Egypt "Burji Mamluks (784-923/1382-1517)"

The aim of this thesis is to reveal the political, military, economic, social and cultural effects of the Nile River, the life source of Egypt, during the Burji/Circassian Mamluks (784-923/1382- 1517) period, which constituted the second period of the Mamluk-Turkish State. As a matter of fact, the Nile River played an important role in the formation and shaping of the civilizations that existed in this geography. In this direction, first of all, general information about the Nile is given as a preliminary guide for the reader in the first chapter. Then, in order to be able to follow the subject chronologically, the thesis is divided into three main headings and the headings are detailed. The second section is from Pre-Islamic to Bahri Mamluks, the third section focuses on the roles of the Nile River in political events in the Burji Mamluks, and the last section focuses on its socio-economic and socio-cultural impression.
