Madrasa Nizamiya of Baghdad

When Sel juks came to world of Is lam, they at tested that this geography was in pol i t ical and rel igious confusion. The pol i t ic and rel igious authori ties were divided in three parts . The Cal iphate of Sünni Abbasi in Baghdad, the Cal iphate of shi i te Fatimî in Egypt and the Cal iphate of Emevî in Endülüs, were reigning. There was also a sect confusion beside this pol i t ical and rel igious authori ty disintegration. The best service of Sel juks for the world of Islam was ensuring the total i ty of government -communi ty by removing this confusion and laid the foundat ions of forming todays Is lam world from rel igious thought and idea point of view. The f irst Musl im Theological Schools of Nizamiye was bui l t in Baghdad in 1067 by vizier Nizamü?l -mülk wi th the permis sion of Alparslan, the Monarch of Great Sel juk. Then, i t was bui l t as series of Musl im Theological Schools of Nizamiye in the ci t ies and also in the vi l lages of state of Sel juk. The Musl im Theological Schools of Nizamiye started a new method in the History of Islam Educat ion and formed a style in the name of i tsel f . These schools that were accepted as the f irst universi ty of the world because of their educat ion, changed the customs in the educat ion system and made bas ic changes in thi s area. A sys tem was formed that paid the subsis tence of the students , paid salory to the teachers regularly, wi th dormi tory and scholorship in the His tory of Educat ion for the f irst t ime. The Musl im Theological Schools formed a compl icated system wi th student s, teachers, emergency services and l ibraries.
