Analysis of Noh and Kabuki theater in the context of gender concept

In this work, analysis of Noh and Kabuki theater in the context of gender concept, the periods that make up Noh and Kabuki theaters, traditional Japanese theater, and specifically the roles of male and female actors in Noh and Kabuki theaters. Basically, how Japanese culture has influenced Japanese theater and what these influences have led to has been investigated. A brief overview of the confusion in gender roles that arose as a result of the banning of Kabuki due to the Edo-Bakufu rule. In the periods before the Tokugawa-Edo period, the periods that contributed to the formation of traditional Japanese theater were examined and the effects of the plays of these periods on Noh and Kabuki were investigated. Throughout the work, female roles played by male actors and male roles played by male actors in Noh and Kabuki theaters were tried to be examined. From the beginning to the end of the work, the issue of gender in Noh and Kabuki theaters was tried to be explained.
