Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, normal and self-compacting underwater concretes were produced by using different mineral admixtures and viscosity modifying agent. In the study, different concrete series were occurred with mineral admixtures such as silica fume, fly ash, and blast furnace slag and investigated the effects of these admixtures on the physical and mechanical properties of underwater concrete. 150x150x150 mm cube and Ø100x200 cylindrical specimens were produced from normal concrete and self-compacting concrete (SCC) series. Washout loss, pH measurement, slump, slump-flow, L box and V funnel tests were applied to the produced specimens while in the fresh state. The specimens produced to determine the hardened concrete properties were kept in a standard curing pool saturated with lime at 20±2 oC for 28 days. At the end of the curing period, ultrasonic pulse velocity, electrical resistivity, rapid chloride permeability, compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and water absorption tests were performed on the specimens. As a result of the tests, it was observed that using different mineral admixtures and viscosity modifying agent in underwater concrete improved the properties of underwater concrete.
