Determininh the Skyrme parameters from variational Monte Carlo method for nuclear matter

In this study, a new Skyrme parameter set is determined for the nuclear matter by Vatiational Monte Carlo method. Total energies per particle are obtained for the nuclear matter by Vatiational Monte Carlo and the new Skyrme parameter set.Using the new Skyrme parameter set, the saturation density of symmetric nuclear matter is obtained as 0.15 fm-3 and the corresponding Fermi momentum is 1.30 fm-1. The binding energy per nucleon for the symmetric nuclear matter is calculated as -15.69 MeV. However, the same properties are calculated for asymmetric nuclear matter at different isospin asymmetry parameter. We observe that results obtained in this study are agreement with those obtained by different Skyrme parameter sets.
