Abstract (EN)

The demand for the energy is increasing in today's world. New energy sources are necessary to meet the required consumption of the world. Nuclear power plant, one of the alternative energy resources, has came to Turkey and currently being constructing. Since countries like Turkey, rely too much on imported sources of energy like fossil fuels, it's obvious that for those developing countries, nuclear plants are necessary. But to produce energy from nuclear plant reactors, environmental impact of it must clearly identify with an objective manner. When we look at the researches that examine the effects of nuclear energy onto environment, it's has both negative and positive sides. When we refer to nuclear plants unfortunately, no research has been conducted about 'posterity and rights' in the Turkey. The aim of this study is to determine the distribution of neutrons that trigger the fission reactions in the nuclear reactor core. Determining this is crucial in order to avoid any nuclear accident. The distribution of neutrons can identify by neutron transport equation. In this study, by using Gaussian and Lorentzian external neutron sources, we focused to solve neutron transport equation in two-dimensional grid. Then by using the data, we created a profile of neutron flux values that we conducted. With the light of the data, we discussed the necessary requirements to keep the reactor at critic level.
