The analysis of the impact of nuclear power plants on energy market and the evoluation by APLUS program

It is expected that with the nuclear power plant, despite the only energy source that cannot be implemented as yet in Turkey, becomes operational although it is a base load power plant, it will be an important input the obedient energy supply. The aim of this study is examine the impact of Akkuyu NPP, which will be the first nuclear power plant in our country, considered to be made on Turkish Energy Market. As a result of this study, market structures and price forecasts obtained for selected years by APLUS program. According to results that obtained from study, the impact of nuclear power plants on Turkey Energy Market can be evaluated. As a result of evaluating the results of this study, it was possible to examine the impact to be made by Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant on Turkish Energy Market structure and free market prices. In addition to this evaluation studies, the effect of nuclear energy on targets set for 2023 to be achieved, could also be discussed.
