Nur İçözü's works child sensitivity, family and informal learning situations

Present day now embraces many books intended for children. However the case might be regarded as promising for the children's literature, the quality of the literary products are always subjected to discussion. In this very context whether the books written are appropriate for the level of the child, or they bear childish-characteristics can be studied in terms of values education as to what can be given to children. The contribution that these products yields to the field turns out to be questionnable. Nur İçözü is one of our pens who has produced works of different genres for the children. In this study the Works of Nur İçözü are taken in hand. The situation of children prone to fall for risks and adventure wearing curious looks around and such childish qualities have been the concern of this study. We have some findings in İçözü's works that relates cases of informal education in the corresponding section in this study. As family is the cornerstone of the child education parents-child relations, positive and negative approaches to children and their consequent effects within the family in terms of children's education are pinpoints searched and studiedin İçözü's book in the family section of our study. The Works of children's literature have an undeniable effect on the education of children. Child, while acquiring many skills through the texts he reads, may also achieve cognitive development via information embedded in the text.
