O/ Hakkâri'de Bir Mevsim and a comparison of the novels named Şato with genetic and typological methods

In this study, the works O/ Hakkâri'de Bir Mevsim by Ferit Edgü, being one of the poets, painters and writers of the 1950's who has written many works in Turkish literature with his unique expression technique and style and, The Castle by Franz Kafka being one of world literature's important authors, are compared with genetic and typological methods. In the first part of the study, detailed information on comparative literature, genetic and tipological methods are given respectively. In the second part, Ferit Edgü's and in the third part, Franz Kafka's literary life and works are studied. In the fourth part, the concept of "Kafkaesque" and "Kafka Effect in Ferit Edgü's Works" are mentioned. In the fifth part, after being examined in terms of their contents, the works, The Castle and O/ Hakkâri'de Bir Mevsim are evaluated under the subheadings of; narrator and point of view, characters, plot, place and time, language and style. Finally, both novels are compared within the framework of genetic and typological methods. In the conclusion part, the evaluations regarding the analysis of Ferit Edgü's O/ Hakkâri'de Bir Mevsim and Kafka's The Castle works in terms of their contents and techniques, and their comparisons by blending genetic and typological methods are covered.
