ABSTRACT Obesity is known to cause many diseases and effects on reproductive functions are examined. Obesity negatively affecting life and lifespan; among the causes of infertility. Yet, the mechanisms of obesity that cause infertility have not been fully established. That is among the topics that are being discussed today. Obesity is as a global public health problem also among the research topics that negatively affect the number and development of oocytes collected in the reproductive system, adversely affect embryo development and quality withal raise low risk. When the body mass index (BMI) increases, it is observed that the fertility decreases in women or lower than the women in normal weight.The detection of obesity is important in early and late periods for the women. Early identification; menstrual irregularities, chronic oligo-anovulation, and adult age determination lead to infertility. As with many metabolic diseases, infertility is also affected by lifestyle and individual characteristics. Obesity is one of the factors affecting infertility. In the scope of the thesis, women who entered the ICSI- ET program with various infertility indications, Body Mass Indexes; Three groups were separated as BMI <25, BMI 25-30 and BMI > 30 and clinical pregnancy rates were compared. Objective; The effect of obesity on pregnancy consequences in women undergoing ICSI-ET method.As a consequence, the pregnancy rates of the group with BMI > 30 (%36,5) in the ICSI-ET cycle were found to be lower than the group with BMI <25 (53.7%).
