Özet (EN)
Aim: The aim of this study is to compare the effects of CPAP therapy on inflammation parameters by comparing serum periostin, IL-6, TGF-beta, TNF-alpha, CRP and spot urine microalbumin levels at the first diagnosis and after 3 months of CPAP treatment. Method: The study included 24 controls, 38 CPAP-treated patients with mild-moderate OSAS and 29 patients with CPAP treatment. Results were recorded at diagnosis and at the 3rd month of CPAP therapy. Appropriate analyzes for the data were made with the SPSS 21.0 program and p <0.05 was considered significant. Results: Compared to patients with mild to moderate OSAS / severe OSAS, patients with normal PSG results are significantly higher in female sex. SFT results of patients with normal PSG results are more frequently normal, less frequently obstructive / restrictive. Compared to patients without OSAS, the age of severe OSAS patients is statistically significantly higher. Compared with mild to moderate / severe OSAS patients, BMI and TNF alfa of patients with normal PSG results is significantly lower. Although there was no significant decrease between microalbumin / creatinine, hs-CRP, TGF-Beta 1, TNF-alpha, IL-6, and periostin recorded before CPAP treatment of severe OUAS patients and the same values recorded after 3 months of CPAP treatment. Conclusion: OSAS patients are more often men, elderly and obese. OSAS patients have higher TNF-alpha value. Compared to healthy participants, other inflammation parameters in OSAS patients, although not statistically significant, are higher. Although it was not significant after CPAP treatment, it was observed that these parameters decreased. Keywords.
