Abstract (EN)
This study examines the effects of information and communication technologies on the female labor force participation rate in the countries that are members of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). In the study, the opportunities brought by the developments in the digitalization process as well as the obstacles encountered were analyzed. In this context, it is aimed to examine the effects of information and communication technologies on the female labor force participation rate in OECD countries. The study uses a panel data set covering the period 2002–2022 and including 38 OECD countries and quantitative analysis methods. It has been concluded that increasing women's access to digital technologies and directing girls to science, technology, engineering and mathematics at an early age can increase women's employment in digital sectors in the long term, and that flexible and remote working models and policies on women's employment should be institutionally strengthened and work-family and life balance policies should be reviewed.
