There are many studies on women that have been done to date. The purpose of this study; The analysis of the socio-economic status of women in OECD countries by multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods. Nine factors that affect socio-economic status have been identified. These factors are; per capita income (GDP) for women, employment rate for women, labor force participation rate for women, female schooling rate (primary education, secondary education, higher education), average life expectancy in women, the political participation rate for women and human development index (HDI). Entropy and ARAS methods were used in the analysis. The data of OECD member countries for the period 2010-2017 were used. The study consists of 3 parts. In the first chapter, the issue of women in economic approaches is dealt with. Then, the socio-economic status of women; It is examined under three headings as economic, social and political factors. The second part consists of a literature review and methodology. The literature review was carried out under two headings, the literature including the factors affecting the socio-economic status of women, and the literature that includes the women and the MCDM methods. In the methodology section, information about the MCDM methods is given and the Entropy and ARAS methods used in the application are explained together with their steps. In the last part of the study, the findings obtained from the application are included. First of all, criterion weights were determined by the entropy method, and then the ARAS method used these criterion weights to obtain a ranking among OECD countries. Criterion weights, respectively; political participation rate, GDP, schooling (primary and secondary education), employment rate, labor participation rate, higher education schooling rate, HDI and average life expectancy. According to the results of the analysis, the top three countries that are in the best condition in terms of women's socio-economic status are Norway, Iceland, and Sweden, while Japan and Hungary are in the last two places in terms of women's status.
