Abstract (EN)
The normal probability function has been the most common of the probability functions. In addition to its use in answering to the problems relating hypothesis testing and confidence intervals, many continious random variables follow a normal distribution. Assuming the distribution of student'ss cores in an examination as normal, normal curve is used to gradestudent'ssuccessrelatively. In this study, it is discussed to grade on the normal curve. Grades for the mathematics and geometry examination scores of the students attended to the Erzurum Yakutiye Anadolu Imam Hatip Lisesi in 2014-2015 school year were determined according to four systems of grading, namely absolute grading method, specified percentages method, standard deviation method and normal curve method. The grading methods were examined comparatively as to assess the student's success. In conclusion, in case of using relative grading on the normal curve, it is clear that the assumptions about raw examination scores have to be met.
