Graduate thesis summary school satisfaction of students and parents

The first purpose of this study is to determine of satisfaction level of elementarystudents and his parents. In this study, survey method was used in order to get out thesedeterminations in chosen schools.The populatıon of this study is students who have been learning in second stage ofelementary education in Afyonkarahisar under the authoritiy of Ministery of NationalEducation students and their parents. As the sample of the study we have taken 526students and 494 parents in Çobanlar county, Emirdag county and province ofAfyonkarahisar and the towns over there.In this study, we used these variables: student satisfaction, sex, class, school size,number of teachers and location of school. Satisfaction is evaluated with respect toeducation?instruction, social activities, accessibility, security, physical environment, toacquire positive behavior, canteen services and measurement and evaluation activities.Findings of study can be summarize like this: In respect of sex variable, in noactivity field cannot be found meaningful difference between averages. From 6. 7. and8. classes, sixth class seems to have the highest satisfaction level.The location variable presents meaningful difference with regard to socialactivities, accessibility, security, physical environment, to acquire positive behavior,reliability, canteen services, measurement and evaluation activities. In general mediumcan not be found difference.Class variable, presents meaningful difference with respect to education?instruction activities, social activities, reliability, canteen services and evaluationactivities. Between averages in other activity areas can not be found a difference.School size variable, shows differentiation in respect of social activities. Betweenaverages in other activity areas haven?t seen a difference.With respect to number of teachers variable, have been seen difference in generalmedium. Between averages in other activity areas can not be found a difference.In parent satisfaction survey, in respect of school size variable, can not be seendifference in social activities, reliability, canteen services and evaluation activities.Between averages in other activity areas can not be found a difference.In respect of location variable, have been found difference in education?instruction activities, acquirement of positive behavior, reliability, canteen services,evaluation and general average. Between averages in other activity fields can not befound a difference.With respect to number of teachers variable, have been found difference inacquirement of positive behavior, reliability, canteen services and evaluation. Betweenaverages in other activity areas can not be seen a difference.With respect to school variable that conservators graduated, can not be found ameaningful difference in no groups.Key Words: Total Quality Management, customer satisfaction, student, parent,performance.
