Determining the opinions of the administrators at the universities where teachers work on it leadership levels

The purpose of this descriptive research is to determine the level of informatics leadership characteristics of the instructors themselves and their administrators. The study also tried to reveal whether there is a significant relationship between the informatics leadership of instructors and administrators. The data for this purpose were collected from 146 lecturers working at universities within the provincial borders of Istanbul. The data was used as a data collection tool in the "Information Leadership Scale" developed by Ulutaş and Arslan (2017). The scale, consisting of 26 items, was explained with a variance of 79.315% and the reliability value was . It is marked as 97. The answers given to the questions determined by the instructors in order to seek answers to the problems and sub-problems determined by the researcher were obtained with the help of Google surveys. In the descriptive statistics part of the study, frequency, percentages, arithmetic averages and standard deviations were calculated in order to determine the frequency of marking personal information and items. In order to test the normality assumption of the results obtained from the measurement tool, both statistical tests and descriptive statistics and graphical methods were used. As a result of the Komogorov-Smirnov test, both histogram graphs and skewness and kurtosis coefficients were examined for the measurement results, which were determined not to show normal distribution, and a final decision was made. T-test, One-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and correlation analysis techniques were applied for the descriptive statistics of the variables of the study. Suggestions for future studies are presented in the research. In conclusion; As a result of the study, it was determined that the instructors themselves and their managers generally have medium and high level of information leadership. It has been concluded that the instructors in different age groups are at a similar level in terms of informatics leadership characteristics both themselves and their managers. When the variables of gender, marital status and academic title regarding the information leadership characteristics of the instructors themselves and their administrators are examined, it can be said that the variables do not have a significant effect. It can be said that the administrators of the instructors generally have medium and high level of informatics leadership. According to this result, it can be said that the informatics leadership feature of the instructor's manager is also effective on the informatics leadership feature of the lecturer. It has been concluded that the variables that affect the informatics leadership characteristics for both the instructors and their managers are similar.
