Opinions of the teachers, administrators and inspectors about investigation task of school managers

The aim of this study is to identify the opinions of teachers, administrators, inspectors about the investigation tasks of the school managers. In this study, qualitative method was employed to gather the data. Focus group of the study involves school managers charged with investigation tasks in Aksu district, Antalya; education inspectors in Antalya; teachers who have been investigated in Aksu district, Antalya in 2017-2018 academic year. Semi-structured interview form was used to gather the data of the study. In this qualitative study, a tape recorder was used. Interviews were recorded, and the collected data was analyzed through descriptive content analysis method. The study is significant in terms of the experience gained in the field of the selected topic, its being carried out with a wide and selective study group, its offering solutions to the issues of the school managers charged with investigation tasks in a legal, functional and economical way. According to the survey data, the participants state that the issues in the education process turn out to be complaint matters before first trying for solutions one on one; for this reason, the investigations in the schools are held intensively. It is stated that the training which school managers received to solve the issues as investigators is not found adequate in such a field that the investigation is quite special and weighty in terms of quality and quantity. The participants also suggest that the school managers with investigation tasks have legal, economical, psychological, sociological and security problems.
