Abstract (EN)

The study aims to examine teachers' attitudes towards traditional sports using a mixed-method approach. In this context, the study group consists of physical education and classroom teachers working in Bayburt province. Since physical education and classroom teachers in Bayburt were considered to be knowledgeable about the research topic and their opinions were deemed particularly meaningful/representative, the study group was selected using convenience sampling, one of the purposive sampling methods. To collect data, the study group was first asked to complete a Personal Information Form, followed by the Attitude Scale Towards Traditional Sports and two open-ended questions that formed the qualitative part of the research. Qualitative data coding and frequency analyses were conducted using the Maxqda 2025 trial version programme, while quantitative data analyses were conducted using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS 26.0) package programme. At this stage, in addition to descriptive statistics, t-tests were used to detect differences between groups from parametric tests, while Pearson correlation analysis was applied from relationship tests. In the analysis of qualitative data, the content analysis method was preferred. As a result of the tests applied, significant findings were obtained in relation to various parameters.
