Researching relationship between the ethical leadership characteristics of female administrators and the organizational commintment of teachers according to teachers' opinion

The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between the ethical leadership characteristics of female administrators and the organizational commintment of teachers according to the opinions of teachers working in schools with female administrators in 2020- 2021 academic year. This is descriptive research in relational survey model. The participants of the study are 293 teachers working in schools with female administrators in the province of Kastamonu in 2020- 2021 academic year. In this study, The Ethical Leadership Scale developed by Yılmaz (2005) and The Organizational Commitment Scale developed by Meyer, Allen and Smith (1993) and adapted into Turkish by Dağlı, Elçiçek and Han (2018) were used. As a result of the research, it has been determined that there is a moderate, positive relationship between the ethical leadership characteristics of female administrators and the organizational commitment of teachers. It is seen that the variable of climatic ethics has a significant relationship with organizational commitment. These predictor variables explain 21% of the total variance of organizational commitment. In other words, the ethical leadership characteristics of female administrators are a significant predictor of teachers' organizational commitment levels. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a significant difference between the views of teachers and female administrators on ethical leadership characteristics and gender, marital status, seniority, branch, and the time worked with female administrators. However, no significant difference was found between age and organizational commitment.
