After the advancement of technology, the internet and smartphones that we use in our daily lives have become indispensable by some individuals and this situation has become an addiction. Individuals have problems in their work, social and family lives as a consequence of excessive internet usage. Some individuals feel uneasy and anxious when they stay away from their phones and this situation causes problems in their work, social and family life. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nomophobia and sociodemographic attributes such as age, gender, marital status, place of residence, presence of internet connection at home, duration of smartphone that is used for 24 hours and purpose of using smartphone, etc. The research model is a relational screening model. The population of the study consists of 4280 teachers working in Erzurum and the sample is 354 teachers determined by random sampling with a 5% error rate. The Turkish adaptation of the Nomophobia Scale made by Yıldırım vd. (2016) and personal information form prepared by the researcher was used as data collection tools. According to the data obtained from the research; While the level of Nomophobia varies according to the variables of gender, duration of use of the phone and purpose of use of the smartphone within 24 hours; it doesn't vary with the variables of marital status, type of school and internet connection at home.
