Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between teachers' professional capital levels and shared leadership behaviors. In this context, a quantitative method, explanatory survey model, was used in the research. The population of the research consists of 6815 teachers working in 196 public primary schools, secondary schools and high schools in the central districts of Eskişehir, Tepebaşı and Odunpazarı, during the 2022-2023 academic year. The sample of the study consisted of 394 teachers who were chosen by using stratified sampling method. Research data were collected through the Distributed Leadership Scale and the Teachers' Professional Capital Scale adapted to Turkish by the researcher. Descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), correlation (r) and multiple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the data. According to the results obtained from the research findings, a statistically significant, high-level and positive relationship was found between teachers' professional capital capacities and shared leadership behaviors. In addition, the analysis results showed that teachers' professional capital level predicted shared leadership behavior in a statistically significant way at a rate of 76%. In the results of the analysis of demographic data, it was seen that there was no significant difference between teachers' opinions except the subject variable. In the subject variable, it was determined that there were statistically significant differences in the teachers' scores in total and in all other sub-dimensions, except for the "social capital, formal structure, incentive and initiative" dimensions.
