Özet (EN)

Education is that a nation or a free, independent, glorious, as a high community lives; or leave to bondage and misery. Education is one of the lifeblood of a society. Initial education starts with the interaction between parents and children in the family and continues with the student's teacher and school environmental interaction during the school process. The assurance of the future is based on a solid foundation of education and the education is based on the teacher. Teachers evolve by being influenced by the circumstances of their time. Today, the most important tool of interaction is social media. According to 2019 data, individual daily internet usage is 6 hours 42 minutes, social daily world usage is 3 hours 16 minutes on an individual basis and the total number of social media users is over 3.5 billion. Teachers are exposed to this intense interaction of social media. Therefore, there is a relationship between interaction with social media and media and teachers 'psychological capital levels and differences in teachers' psychological capital levels. No study has been found that directly reveals the relationship between teachers' psychological capital levels and their use of social media. When the literature is examined, it should be determined whether the psychological capital levels of teachers and their use of social media differ according to the demographic characteristics of the teachers. In addition, if there is a relationship between teachers' psychological capital levels and their use of social media, the direction of this relationship should be determined. The research was carried out in order to eliminate these problems in the literature and the relationship between teachers' psychological capital levels and their use of social media was examined. The research is published on September 6, 2019 "National Education Statistics Formal Education" Formal Education in the 2018-2019 broadcast year for Turkey in general education teachers are a total of 1,077,307. As the sample of our study, 581 teachers were determined by convenience sampling method, and face-to-face questionnaire application was carried out. The questionnaire consists of three parts, the first part includes demographic characteristics, the second part the positive psychological capital scale, and the third part the social media scale. As a result of the study, it was found that there is a strong and positive correlation (Pearson correlation coefficient 0.756) between teachers' psychological capital levels and their use of social media; It has been determined that 57% of the variance in psychological capital is due to the use of social media. The regression equation for the simple linear relationship between variables is "Psychological capital = 0.607 + 0.501 (social media usage)". Another result is that teachers' psychological capital levels and social media usage levels differ according to their demographic characteristics.
