Abstract (EN)

This research aims to examine the relationship between Oğuz Atay's work The Disconnected and Transformative Learning, in the context of lifelong learning and adult education. For this purpose, phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research designs, was preferred, and data were collected through the literature review method. It aimed to gather in-depth information by conducting a literature review study. Scientific studies on lifelong learning, literature, and transformative learning were considered and analysed. With the screening and examinations, the instructive aspect of literature was emphasised, the novel Tutunamayanlar was examined with transformative learning and the transformation of Turgut Özben character in the work was evaluated. As a result, it was observed that the transformation of Turgut Özben character was realised according to transformational learning steps.. In addition, it has been observed that there needs to be more studies in this field, and this study is aimed to shed light on this field.
