Plato's metaphysics in the thought of Oğuz Haşlakoğlu

In the history of philosophy, the founder of systematic philosophy is known as Plato. However, what exactly the metaphysical thought put forward by Plato means is a matter of debate. The views of Oğuz Haşlakoğlu, who interpreted Plato's metaphysics differently from the traditional understanding and focused his studies on Plato, on Plato's Metaphysics constitute the subject of our thesis. In our study , Haşlakoğlu 's views and thoughts will be tried to be reflected in the most accurate way. The fact that this thesis, which was inspired by the ideas of Oğuz Haşlakoğlu in his work titled "Art Philosophy and Aesthetic Writings", has no example in the literature, has been a guide for our study. Again , Haşlakoğlu 's work "Tekhne in Plato's Thought" presented us with different aspects of his perspective on art and philosophy, and provided the opportunity to examine and understand Plato from a different perspective than usual. Oğuz Haşlakoğlu has tried to bring a different perspective to philosophy than the usual Aristotelian interpretations. In his eyes, the comments made so far are always the ones filtered by Aristotle. He, on the other hand, tries to explain and teach how to look at the situation with the eyes of Plato. He argues that most of the accusations that have been attributed to Plato so far actually consist of not understanding Plato in a real sense. According to Oğuz Haşlakoğlu, in order to understand philosophy in Plato, first of all, it is necessary to fully comprehend the concepts of Mimesis (imitation), Methektis (Participation), Genesis (Being), Anamnesis (Remembering), Psukhé (Nefs), Tekné (Creating). Oğuz Haşlakoğlu states that in his studies, all areas of Plato's philosophical activity are intertwined, and in his dialogues, he actually reveals a subject, namely his philosophical activity, from different aspects. The basis of Plato's philosophy is aimed at reaching the truth, and according to this, he states that the only way for man to reach the truth is under the guidance of Sophos. If a person does not deviate from this path, he will reach the truth and therefore happiness. In this respect, he is against everything that contradicts reason. From this point of view, for example, even art can be considered as a threat on the way to this goal. According to Oğuz Haşlakoğlu, questions such as what is Plato's philosophy and how did Oğuz Haşlakoğlu deal with metaphysics from Plato's point of view are the main problems of our research. The limitations of our research will be created entirely based on Oğuz Haşlakoğlu 's own thoughts. It is obvious that Oğuz Haşlakoğlu evaluated Plato's metaphysics differently from the known Platonic metaphysics. Oğuz Haşlakoğlu's attempt to explain what exactly he wanted to express in our research has been taken into account in terms of the benefits it will provide to today's literature in order to better understand Plato. The differences between known Platonic metaphysics and Platonic metaphysics according to Oğuz Haşlakoğlu will be tried to be revealed.
