Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between authenticity of pre-school children's fathers and their self-regulation skills. Sample of this study consist of 242 father and children studying at 2 pre-school and 6 independent pre-school affliated with the Ministry of National Education in the center of Gaziantep in 2020-2021. The quantitative data of this study is obtained from ''Demographical Information Form'' , ''Self- Regulation Skill Scele'' and ''Kernis-Goldman's Authenticity Scale''. Data analysed by the use of SPSS 22.0 packaged software. As a result of the analyses, it is found that there is a positive and medium-level relationship between fathers' authenticity and the children's self-regulation skills. Besides, it is conluded that while fathers' authenticity differs from their educational bacground and monthly income, children's authentcity differs from fathers' educational background, the time they give their children and monthly income. Obtained evidences discussed by the light of literature and suggestions are made for researchers and educators.
