Abstract (EN)

This thesis is a descriptive research that tries to explain how children perceive concepts in preschool period and how to teach concepts effectively in religious education process. The research consists of introduction, first part, second section and results. In the introduction, the subject, purpose, importance and method of the research are mentioned. In the first part, physical, mental, personality and moral development of children in preschool period were examined. In addition, the aim, importance, principles and characteristics of pre-school education, pre-school religious education and Qur'an courses are emphasized. In the second chapter, the definition, characteristics and types of the concept word are examined. In this context, it has been explained how abstract religious concepts that are frequently encountered in pre-school religious education are envisaged by children. The concepts of how children learn concepts, concept learning and teaching theories, planning of the concept teaching process, designing the content and evaluating the concept teaching process are emphasized. In addition, sample lessons and sample activities were planned in order to show how the units named "Respect" and "I love Allah" can be taught to children in the Religious Studies course in pre-school Qur'an courses. In the conclusion part of our research, we suggest that children in pre-school age will be able to understand and use the concepts more easily.
