The Effect of Digital Storytelling on Listening Skills in Preschool Children The aim of this study is to reveal the effect of digital storytelling method on pre-school children's listening skills. In this study, Son Selective Pattern with Last Tested Control Group deneysel was used. In this research, 75 children were studied in the kindergarten of Kütahya province in the 60-72 month group in the kindergarten of the Ministry of National Education. Children participating in the research were assigned to 3 different experimental groups which were equalized in terms of their level of development with the information received from their development files and their teachers and presented with different methods of expression. In the data collection process of the research, 11 different stories were used and the stories were told to the groups with 3 different narration methods. After the stories, the data of the research were collected with semi-structured interview form. The data were analyzed by scoring the evaluation form. As a result of the research, the scores of the pre-school children in the experimental group 1 and experimental group 2, who took different digital storytelling, from the selective, discriminating, empathic, creative, critical and effective listening skills, skills were compared with their scores. Since the data were not distributed normally, Kruskal Walllis H test showed a significant difference between the groups. The Mann Whitney U test was used to determine which groups the difference was in favor of and between which groups. As a result of the analyzes, it was seen that there was a significant difference in the listening types discussed in favor of experimental group 1 and experimental group 2. Between experimental group 1 and experimental group 2, the scores of listening skills were compared, and there was a significant difference in favor of experimental group 1, which was made of digital storytelling except music and sound. As a result, it was seen that pre-school children in the 60-72 month group had a significant effect on the discriminant, selective, empathic, creative, critical and effective listening skills. In addition, it is seen that the digital stories applied with teacher support are more effective than the digital storytelling. Keywords: Digital story, listening skills, preschool education.
