Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between preschool children's digital game addiction tendencies and their creativity. In line with this purpose, the relationship between these two variables was revealed according to the perceptions of preschool children's parents and teachers, and it was determined whether these two variables differed according to some demographic variables. The population of this study, which was designed in the relational survey model, consists of preschool children over 60 months of age attending official kindergartens and preschools in Aksaray province center in the 2023-2024 academic year. The sample of this study consists of 333 preschool children over 60 months of age attending the official kindergartens and preschools in Aksaray province center, selected through convenience sampling. Within the scope of the study, Digital Game Addiction Tendency Scale and Early Childhood Creativity Scales were used to determine children's tendency towards digital game addiction and children's creativity levels. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a negative and low-level significant relationship between children's digital game addiction tendencies and their creativity. Based on this relationship, simple and multiple regression analysis was conducted to determine whether children's digital game addiction tendencies predict children's creativity. As a result of the research, it was determined that children's digital game addiction tendencies and the continuous conflict sub-dimension of the scale significantly predicted their creativity.
