The relationship between sharing behavior (sharenting) and self-esteem of mothers with preschool children

This study was conducted to reveal the relationship between sharenting behavior and self-esteem of mothers with children in preschool institutions. For this purpose, the relationship between these two variables was revealed and it was revealed whether the sharing behavior and self-esteem levels of mothers differed in terms of some demographic variables. The universe of this study, designed in the relational screening model, consists of mothers of preschool children over 60 months of age who attend official kindergartens and preschools in the Aksaray city center in the 2023-2024 academic year. The sample of this study consists of 268 mothers who were selected through convenient sampling among the mothers of preschool children over 60 months old who attend official kindergartens and preschools in the city center of Aksaray. Data were collected from the mothers participating in the study using the Mothers' Sharing Parenting Scale, Two-Dimensional Self-Esteem: Self-Love/Self-Sufficiency Scale and Personal Information Form. The data collected within the scope of the study were analyzed and resolved using the SPSS 21 package program, and statistical analyses such as descriptive statistics, anova test, correlation analysis, and t-test were performed in order to determine the levels of sharing parenting behaviors and self-esteem and the relationship between these variables. As a result of the study, it was determined that there was a positive, low-level relationship between the mothers' sharenting behaviors and self-esteem levels.
