Abstract (EN)

The research was carried out with the aim of determining the relationship between the perceptions of the mothers of my children attending the preschool institution about risky play and the self- concepts of the children and the relationship between gender. For this purpose, it was analyzed using the relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods. The sample of the study was determined by using convenient sampling method. 257 volunteer children determined by this method and their mothers constitute the sample of the research. In the study, a general information form developed by the researcher was used in order to obtain information about the demographic characteristics of the children and their families. As a data collection tool, "Early Childhood Risky Play Assessment Tool Parent Form" was used to evaluate mothers' views on risky play, and "Self- Concept Perception Scale" was used to evaluate children's self- concepts. The data obtained from the research were created using Spearman Rank Correlation analysis. When the scores obtained from the Early Childhood Risky Play Assessment Tool- (EÇRODA) Parent Form and the Child's Self- Concept Perception Measurement tool were compared, there was a positive relationship between the Child's Self- Concept Perception and Belief in the Sub- factors of the Early Childhood Risky Play Assessment Tool, and there was a negative relationship between Anxiety. Directional relationship was determined. No significant relationship was found between the factors of Acknowledging Risky Behaviors, Providing Support, and Spouse/ Partner Support. While there was a significant relationship between the self- concept of my daughters and the risky game assessment tool, Belief in One's Sub- factor, Acknowledge Risky Behaviors and Anxiety, no significant relationship was found between Support and Spousal Support sub- dimensions. For boys, only a significant relationship was found between the self- concept and the sub- factor of Belief in the risky game assessment tool. Suggestions were presented in line with the findings obtained from the research.
