Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate whether the burnout and job satisfaction levels of pre-school teachers working at private pre-schools show significant differences with respect to age, teaching experience, and the university they graduated from. The sample group of the study consists of 150 teachers working in pre-schools in the central districts of Adana. The "Burnout Inventory" was used in order to detect the burnout level of the participants while the "Job Satisfaction Survey" was used to determine the level of their job satisfaction. The data gathered during the study was analyzed with SPSS 21. Subsequently a variance analysis was employed to determine whether there was a significant difference between the burnout and the job satisfaction levels according to age, the university they graduated from, and their job experience. It was detected that there was no significant difference between the burnout sub-questionnaires and the job-satisfaction with regard to age and the university they graduated from. It was detected that the years of experience of the participants showed a meaningful difference in the burnout sub-scales and that notably teachers with 21-25 years of experience had a high burn-out level but no significant differences were found in terms of job-satisfaction. As a result of the study it was seen that a higher level of teachers' burnout and lower job satisfaction correlate with an increasing age and incremental years of experience as well as that the university they graduated from had an impact on burnout and job-satisfaction.
