Abstract (EN)
This study examines the relationship between the effectiveness of school management processes and teachers' organizational commitment levels according to the views of teachers working in public schools. Management processes are discussed through seven basic functions: decision making, planning, organizing, communicating, coordinating, influencing, and supervising. In this context, the relational structure between teachers' perceptions of the functioning of these processes and their organizational commitment levels was analyzed. The research was conducted using the relational survey model within the framework of the quantitative research method. It was carried out with the data obtained from teachers working in primary and secondary schools in the Tepebaşı district of Eskişehir province who voluntarily participated in the research. Accordingly, the population of the study consists of 2,174 teachers, and the sample consists of 360 teachers. The data were collected through two previously validated and reliable scales. According to the findings, teachers' views on the effectiveness of management processes were generally at a medium-high level, while their organizational commitment levels were similarly high. As a result of the analyses, it was found that there was a statistically significant and positive relationship between the effectiveness of management processes and organizational commitment. In addition, for teachers, the effectiveness of management processes was a significant predictor of organizational commitment levels. These findings show that the effectiveness of school administrators' management processes directly affects the institutional functioning, teachers' belonging to the institution, and their professional motivation. Finally, the study's findings suggest that effective school management can contribute to teacher commitment; in this context, more participatory, transparent, and communicative management approaches should be developed.
