The work of Omer b. Mustafa titled Risâle fi'l-Kir'âa (Review text)

Many voluminous and concise works have been written in the past and present about the correct reading and transcription of the Qur'ân al-kerîm. 'Umar b. Mustafa's Risāla fi'l-Kırāa is one of the important works written in this context. In this study, since 'Umar b. Mustafa's Risāla fi'l-Kırāa is a pioneering work in the field of qiraat, it is intended to offer a different perspective from the existing literature and to serve as an example for researchers interested in this field. This thesis aims to contribute to qiraat studies and fill the gaps in the literature. This study consists of an introduction, three main chapters and a conclusion. The introduction includes the subject, purpose, scope, importance and original value of the thesis, the methods used and the research sources. In the second chapter, information about the author's life, education, scholarly personality, teacher, sheikh, works and contemporaries is presented. In the third chapter, issues related to Resm-i Osmânî, tajwîd and qiraat are touched upon and the work is analyzed by comparing it with classical and contemporary tajwîd sources. The fourth part of the thesis includes the transcribed text of the work. In the conclusion, it is concluded that the work has a unique structure in terms of both the information it contains and the way this data is handled.
