Interpretation of the verses regarding Maryam and Jesus in Omar Nasuhi Bilmen and Omar Riza Doğrul's tafsirs

Classic and modern/rational concepts are the two most important concepts spring to mind while talking about commentary of Qur'an. It may be argued if their methods are completely independent from each other but their resluts are pretty different. In this compared analysis of verses about Mary and Jesus there are two chapters comes after introduction; first one is about Mary and the other is about Jesus then conclussion follows and Omer Nasuhi Bilmen represents Classic concept, Omer Riza Dogrul represents modern concept. Commantator's biographies are briefly mentioned to give an idea about their mindset which affected by where they born and raised, educated and which critical positions they took. Omer Nasuhi Bilmen's Turkish Translation and Commentary of Holy and Generous Quran and Omer Riza Dogrul's God's Command Translation and Commentatory of Generous are briefly mentioned because they are two main works of this thesis. In this work, headlines come after verses about subjects and in every chapter Omer Nasuhi Bilmen's translate and commentary written first. After that Omer Riza Dogrul's translation and commentary written to facilitate comparison. Assessments of comparison weren't necessary for each headline and done rarly. Main assessment took place in the conclusion chapter. By this way both commentators' commentatories about verses of Mary and Jesus compared objectively and results assessed by their ordinary and extraordinary sides.
