Abstract (EN)

Identity is certainly not limited to the ones appearing in official documents. Identity is a concept that incorporates many elements. There are many individual features determining the identity such as class, religion, nationality, profession, gender. These items can be replicated and identity can be built. Belonging is a set of values needed by each person . Belonging includes ties established in a community where people feel insecure. Belonging is an emotion given to people in the womb. People feels peaceful to the extent that he can meet this need. Belonging is not just a momentary case;it is a feeling needed forever. Belonging has an important role in the formation of identity. Just like identity, belonging also has many determining factor such as religion,nationality, family, origin, geograpghy, occupation. These items can be replicated and it can be seen what are in the belonging mechanism. In this study, identity and sense of belonging will be examined in the stories of Ömer Seyfettin known as Turkish nationalist and the messages given to the reader in his stories will be determined.
