Ordu province votive places

This study consists of informations which are obtained from folk, about vow places related to Saint cult in Ordu Province, central districts and villages. First of all, it is determined places of tombs that are located in Ordu and central districts; places of tombs that are, are analyzed by using techinques of field research. Later architecture and location of the tomb are specified then, several rumors about the tomb are got by using tape recorder during the study.At the begining of the study, the location of the shrines in the province of Ordu and central districts were determined and the placez of the shrine were investigated in detail by using the field survey technique. In the field survey, firstly the architectural structure of the shine and its location were determined. Subseguently, the norrations among the publig about the shrines were recorded en the voice recorder. İt is concluded nowadays, the tombs are still valuable according to opinion of folk in Ordu, the believes are lasting like sleeping near the tomb , touchin earth, fastening cloth on the tree etc, end then people believe that theit wishes will come true to these wats via saints.
