Abstract (EN)

Ordu is established in one of the most beautiful places in the Eastern Black Sea. The city has many natural beauties and cultural riches. Therefore, Ordu city is described as the Pearl of the Black Sea. Today, Ordu has the traces of the civilizations that lived centuries ago. Unique historical beauties are still found in some parts of the city. Ordu become home to many civilizations throughout history. After a great fire in 1883 the city has been rebuilt and reached into today. Rich kitchen culture of the city offers a unique flavor to the visitors. Different flavors and a rich coisine are waiting for the visitors in the Ordu city. Traditions and customs of Ordu are still alive and continues even today. Ordu has also brought many famous names to Turkey and the world. Generally economy of the city is based on agriculture, especially hazelnut farming. Unemployment and migration problems are among the problems that must be solved urgent. People were forced to migrate due to unemployment and a wave of migration still continues today. Progress must be made in industrialization and also, projects that may show the real value of Ordu city should be prepared and put into operation.
